Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment? 

• • To schedule your FIRST appointment with us, please fill out the form on the NEW CLIENTS page. Please note that Michelle Boyd has very limited availability; please call the store to book an appointment with her. If you are a returning guest, you can book an appointment either by calling the store or through use of our form.

What do I need to bring for my appointment?

• • If this is your first time at Animal House Grooming, please bring or email us your pet's most recent vaccination records. If you are a returning guest, you do not need to bring anything into the salon besides your pet.

My dog has a specific shampoo- can I provide my own?

• • Yes! If you have a specific shampoo that you are providing, please let the front desk staff know.

What vaccinations are required at AHG?

• • As required by South Carolina state law, we require all of our pets to have up-to-date vaccinations for the Rabies virus, as well as the DHPP/DHLPP (Parvo) vaccination for dogs young enough to receive it.

My dog has anxiety or temperament issues- are they still welcome?

• • As long as there is no posing threat to our staff, they are welcome here! Temperamental dogs may need to be restricted by use of a muzzle and if grooming complications exist, there may be an additional fee.

Are cats welcome here?

• • Cats are welcome BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. For more information, please call the store.

My dog has special needs, can they still be groomed?

• • Of course it depends on the dog's willingness to undergo grooming and their comfort level, but we do not have any policies prohibiting animals with disabilities from getting groomed.
