Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I book an appointment?
To schedule your FIRST appointment with us, please fill out the form on the HOME page then call up to the store. If you are a returning guest, you can book an appointment either by calling up to the store or through use of our app.
- How do I join the app?
After your contact information is entered into our system, you should receive a text or email invitation to join our app. The unique link will take you to your profile where you can continue with account setup.
- What do I need to bring for my appointment?
If this is your first time at Animal House Grooming, please bring your pet's most recent vaccination records. If you are a returning guest, you do not need to bring anything into the salon besides your pet.
- My dog has a specific shampoo- can I provide my own?
Yes! If you have a specific shampoo that you are providing, please let the front desk staff know.
- What vaccinations are required at AHG?
As required by South Carolina state law, we require all of our pets to have up-to-date vaccinations for the Rabies virus, as well as the DHPP/DHLPP (Parvo) vaccination for dogs young enough to receive it.
- My dog has anxiety or temperament issues- are they still welcome?
As long as there is no posing threat to our staff, they are welcome here! Temperamental dogs may need to be restricted by use of a muzzle and if grooming complications exist, there may be an additional fee.
- Are cats welcome here?
Cats are welcome BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. For more information, please call the store.
- My dog has special needs, can they still be groomed?
Of course it depends on the dog's willingness to undergo grooming and their comfortability, but we do not have any policies prohibiting animals with disabilities from getting groomed.
